The Government of Australia in partnership with the Government of Indonesia, has marked the achievements and lessons learned in infrastructure development at the closing event of Indonesia Infrastructure Initiative (IndII), on Wednesday, April 26 in Jakarta. The IndII program has been running for eight years (July 2008 – June 2017).  The closing ceremony was presided over by the Deputy of Infrastructure, Bappenas, Wismana Adi Suryabrata and Steven Barraclough, Minister Counsellor for Economic, Investment and Infrastructure, Australian Embassy, Jakarta.

On January 30-31, the Indonesia Infrastructure Initiative (IndII), the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (KemenPUPR) and Bappenas organised a seminar to disseminate a standardised business plan concept for regional water authorities (PDAMs) across the country. The expectation is that developing and implementing business plans will help PDAMs to improve their performance in meeting drinking water provision targets in their area.

On 29 November 2016, IndII and the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) launched a High Level Dialogue on the Future of Sanitation Program in Indonesia.

Reflecting on eight years of implementing activities, collaborating with various stakeholders, and providing technical assistance for infrastructure development, the Indonesia Infrastructure Initiative (IndII) has conducted a lessons learnt workshop to review its approach to gender integration.
